Auditor General sourceWhy AuditClarity
AuditClarity began with a pattern observed repeatedly across more than 10 years of external audit work.
Built from experience
AuditClarity was created by an audit professional with more than a decade of experience across Big Four and mid-tier firms. That experience spans external audits involving listed groups, smaller businesses, asset managers, investment funds and a range of corporate organisations.
Over those years, the most difficult part of an audit was often not resolving one accounting issue or challenging one estimate. It was coordinating an end-to-end engagement involving different teams, responsibilities, evidence, judgements, review stages and reporting deadlines. Technical matters must be resolved properly, but clear ownership, realistic hand-offs and timely review often determine whether the audit reaches completion in a controlled and predictable way.
When those operating conditions are missing, avoidable friction compounds. Evidence may not meet expectations, review windows become compressed, questions return and both finance and audit teams carry additional cost, workload and pressure. AuditClarity was created to help finance teams reduce that friction through practical guidance and adaptable tools, so that external audit can become a manageable business process rather than a recurring burden.
Why this matters
Research from different audit markets points to recurring issues around readiness, timetable pressure, resourcing and perceived value. These findings are market-specific, not universal claims.

The shared outcome
AuditClarity's ambition is to reduce the avoidable friction that makes external audit harder for finance teams and audit teams alike.
The products are built from the client's perspective because that is where the operational knowledge gap is greatest. Their purpose is not to transfer the auditor's responsibilities, influence professional conclusions or pretend that every delay can be prevented.
Their purpose is to help finance teams understand what is expected, prepare more deliberately, maintain clearer ownership and recognise emerging problems before their effects spread across the timetable. Better visibility gives both teams better conditions in which to plan, test, review and complete the work.
Each product starts with a recurring finance-team problem and turns it into a usable workflow.
Templates support professional thinking. They do not replace the evidence, challenge or judgement required for your circumstances.
Examples are fictional and products are framework-neutral. Your facts, reporting framework and advisers remain authoritative.
The longer-term ambition
Templates and playbooks are the starting point, not the limit of that ambition. Each product captures a part of the operational knowledge that finance teams are often expected to learn through experience, repeated questions and timetable pressure.
Over time, the aim is to create a connected body of tools and guidance covering preparation, coordination, documentation, fee discussions and continuous improvement from one audit cycle to the next.
